Cricket Protein Powder 1/2lb
Only toasted ground crickets! This protein-rich powder/flour can be used to power smoothies, green juices and as a substitute for protein in your bake goods!
You can substitute 1/3 of a cup of regular flour, cricket powder acts as a strong binder. Use it with any recipe, especially gluten-free ones! It will add a protein boost to your baked goods, great for kids! We usually use it to make banana bread, this is our favorite recipe:
Banana Bread
1 1/3 cup sifted flour 1/3 cup of cricket powder
2/3 cup Sugar
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/3 cup Soft Butter
¼ tsp Baking Soda 2 Eggs, unbeaten
½ tsp Salt ½ cup chopped nuts
1 cup mashed ripe Banana
Set oven at 350 degrees, grease 9x5x3 loaf pan
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt
Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl
Add Eggs
Add nuts, banana, and flour mixture
Beat until just smooth
Turn into Pan
Bake for about 45 minutes
